Join our very own jam session as we talk with jazz musician Charles D. Williams

Charles D. Williams is a Kansas City, Kansas, musician, pianist, trombonist, bandleader, private piano instructor, producer, writer, and clinician/educator. He earned a degree from MCC-Penn Valley and studied at the UMKC Conservatory. Charles has been performing as The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra pianist since its inception in 2003. You’ll also find him playing at several local venues with his trio as well as accompanying many local vocalists. He is dedicated to supporting the American Jazz Museum and its Blue Room and recently joined their board of directors.

Mr. Williams has had the pleasure of backing many artists, including Ernie Andrews, Houston Person, Harold Jones, Clark Terry, Randy Brecker, Bobby Watson, Deborah Brown, Ann Hampton Callaway, The New York Voices, Wycliffe Gordon, The Four Freshmen, Cannonball and Nat Adderley, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, and Benny Golson to name a few.
